In the middle ages, wedding dresses had been very popular in some places especially in Europe. During the Victorian Era, wedding gowns were long, white and silk-made. Today, most wedding gowns are still white to symbolize purity or virginity. However, it was not the real reason why Queen Victoria chose white as her gown. In fact, she opted to have a white wedding dress in order to match with her lace that she wanted to add on it. Perhaps it is just a coincidence, but anyway it has been a tradition that ten of thousands women accept to wear the white gown for years now.


However, no matter how the wedding dresses develop over time, something like the elegance and natural beauty of a perfect gown will never change. It is undoubted that the most beautiful image of a women in her life is when she is wearing a long and white wedding gown.

Another way to get the dress of your dreams is to find a seamstress who can help you with ideas for embellishing a more plain, less expensive wedding dress. Many seamstresses are able to buy these supplies at a lower price and for a modest price can add them to your dress. Some silk fabric or a fancy sash can really dress up a dress and make it look much more expensive than it really is. Beading, lace, or netting can add to the elegance. A seamstress may also be able to add fancy sleeves to the dress to give it a whole new look. Be sure to speak with your seamstress about what she may be able to do with your dress before making your decision.
